Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice 4 misol

1. Their table was superlatively stupid. Scarcely a syllable was uttered that did not relate to the game, except when Mrs. Jenkinson expressed her fears of Miss de Bourgh’s being too hot or too cold, or having too much or too little light.
“Ularning stolida juda ahmoqona vaziyat edi. O‘yinga aloqasi bo‘lmagan so‘z deyarli aytilmadi, faqat Mrs. Jenkinson Miss de Bourgh juda issiq yoki sovuq bo‘lishidan, yoki juda ko‘p yoki juda kam yorug‘likdan xavotir bildirganda istisno qilindi.”
2. As they walked home, Elizabeth related to Jane what she had seen pass between the two gentlemen; but though Jane would have defended either or both, had they appeared to be in the wrong, she could no more explain such behaviour than her sister.
“Ular uyga ketar ekan, Elizabeth Janega ikkala janob o‘rtasida nima bo‘lganini so‘zlab berdi; ammo Jane ularning biri yoki ikkisining noto‘g‘ri ekanini ko‘rsa ham himoya qilardi, u bunday xulq-atvorni o‘z ukasidan ko‘ra tushuntira olmadi.”
3. Elizabeth related to Jane the next day what had passed between Mr. Wickham and herself. Jane listened with astonishment and concern; she knew not how to believe that Mr. Darcy could be so unworthy of Mr. Bingley’s regard; and yet, it was not in her nature to question the veracity of a young man of such amiable appearance as Wickham.
“Elizabeth keyingi kun Janega Mr. Wickham bilan o‘rtasida nima bo‘lganini so‘zlab berdi. Jane hayrat va xavotir bilan tingladi; u Mr. Darcy Mr. Bingley e’tiboriga shunchalik loyiq emasligiga qanday ishonishni bilmas edi; va shunga qaramay, Wickham kabi yoqimli ko‘rinishli yigitning rostligini shubha ostiga olish unga xos emas edi.”
4. In this perturbed state of mind, with thoughts that could rest on nothing, she walked on; but it would not do; in half a minute the letter was unfolded again, and collecting herself as well as she could, she again began the mortifying perusal of all that related to Wickham, and commanded herself so far as to examine the meaning of every sentence.
“Bu bezovta ruhiy holatda, hech narsaga diqqat qaratolmay, u oldinga qadam tashladi; lekin bu foyda bermadi; yarim daqiqadan so‘ng xat yana ochildi, u o‘zini iloji boricha jamlab, Wickham bilan bog‘liq barcha narsalarni qayta achchiq o‘qishga kirishdi va har bir jumlaning ma’nosini tekshirishga o‘zini majbur qildi.”
